at the Primary Business Partnership
The Primary Business Partnership provides a brokerage (or ‘matchmaking’) service between primary schools and businesses in the Allerdale and Copeland areas. A dedicated team with specialised local knowledge works with the schools and business to understand their requirements and create suitable partnerships for maximum mutual benefit. Our brokerage service is fully funded so we don’t charge primary schools or businesses for the service.
About our Partners
OneAIM is a joint venture between Jacobs and Mitie. The joint venture is responsible for delivering the Operations Site Works (OSW) Framework for Sellafield Ltd.

Sellafield Ltd is responsible for the safe operation and ultimate clean-up of the Sellafield site in West Cumbria. It is committed to ensuring that its work has a positive social impact upon the communities in which it operates. Sellafield Ltd is a funder of the Primary Business Partnership and works collaboratively with its supply chain partners to deliver positive programmes such as this one — recognising the importance of young people having both the skills and aspirations that will see them thrive.
Centre for Leadership Performance (CforLP) is a not-for-profit leadership development company working to develop Cumbria’s leaders for today and tomorrow. CfLP are the delivery partner for the day to day operations of the Primary Business Partnership.
MB Associates works to support people and partnerships to make a difference. MB Associates has been contracted to evaluate the programme. Their work will be to establish measures to determine the distance travelled and in due course measure the impact of the Primary Business Partnership.
