SUPPORTING CAREER RELATED LEARNING TO ALL PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN WEST CUMBRIA

WHAT WE DO

We want to help your school create effective and mutually beneficial school-business partnerships.

We feel that now it is even more important to raise the aspirations of children and young people and give them new, enriching and stimulating experiences.  We still want the children of West Cumbria to be able to DREAM BIG and do not want the impact of Coronavirus to limit opportunities for children.  We believe that career-related learning in primary schools is essential for young people to understand why they are learning and what they are working towards. By giving their learning a purpose and goal, young people can then start to make the connection between what they are doing in school and how that prepares them for later in life.

REGISTER YOUR SCHOOL FOR 2023/24

To register your school for 2023/24 you must complete a School Profile to provide us with key details about your school, key school contacts and what support you might need for this academic year.  Completion of these forms also enables us to measure the impact of PBP on a yearly basis, a key requirement to ensure our future funding.

RESOURCES

Have a look at the workshops that you could book for your pupils.  We currently have over 400 local business volunteers who want to support your school.

All our activities aim to raise the aspirations of primary school children, broaden horizons and breakdown gender stereotypes.  We want to create a ‘can do’ attitude where children are exposed to positive local role models through career related learning and topic support.
